Design an online course without feeling intimidated. Many people are intimidated by the tech involved in teaching online but I will share with you how you can alleviate this fear.
Develop an online environment that is welcoming to your students and inspires them to learn and make meaningful connections.
Manage your online teaching workload
without the feelings of overwhelm and frustration that often come the increased amount of grading and interactions typically included in an online course.
I'm sure we can all agree that the recent COVID-19 pandemic has changed the face of education as we know it and it is unclear when or IF it will ever look the same. One thing is certain though, the field of online education isn't going anywhere. In fact, I believe it is going to quickly become a regular part of all academic professionals' careers.
I've been teaching online courses since 2012 but I've been taking online classes as a student for a much longer period of time. I remember being frustrated as a student in an online class where I did not understand what was going on and I have also experienced being frustrated as an educator teaching an online class where I still did not understand what was going on!
I am hoping to spare both you and your students some of that frustration. I know all too well the consequences of a poorly designed course for a student and the the effects of a poorly managed course for an instructor.
If you're committed to teaching, designing and managing your most successful online course, I can't wait to help you get there faster and with more ease.
