Ed Tech Tuesday: Prezi

Sep 29, 2020

Prezi is a presentation tool that has been around for quite some time. In the event that you are unfamiliar with it, Prezi is a presentation software that can be used to create stunning presentations. Essentially, it is a visual storytelling software that features a map-like overview that lets users pan between topics, zoom in on details, and pull back to reveal context.

Prezi presentations are a fun and different way to share course content. Their website has tons of templates and examples of the various projects you can create. There are 3 main types of Prezi's you can create:

Prezi Present allows you to create real-time presentations using their signature zoom and scale features that they are so well known for.

Prezi Video allows you to appear alongside your content while presenting it to an audience.

Prezi Design allows you to make stunning, interactive charts, reports, maps, infographics and more.

I've created a Prezi presentation several years ago but it has changed dramatically since I last used it. I'm particular excited about Prezi Video which allows you to go Live or record a video to share later. You can even create an avatar of yourself that will mirror your movements when you go live or create a video!

I'd love to challenge you (and myself) to create a Prezi video in the next week and share it in The Online Educator Facebook Group! Are you up for the challenge?
